Aside from looking much cooler, these 4-ounce beauties function better too. For instance, they offer a wide 110-degree field of view, along with a fast 120Hz refresh rate and resolution twice that of Full HD.
But best of all, they'll produce stereoscopic 3D games and movies without requiring a PC. Their accompanying D-Box interface runs on Android, but works with any Bluetooth-compatible gadgets, including computers, speakers and portable gaming devices. So you've essentially got your own dizziness-, lag- and distortion-free virtual reality theater on-the-go.
Although we haven't been able to find them on sale anywhere, we'd been told back in spring that they'll go for $699 when released. And perhaps because they attended CES Asia, as you can see in the video, we'll get a chance to check them out in person in a couple of weeks at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas.
